An amazing hardstone cameo brooch set in a gorgeous solid gold taille d'epargne frame! This incredible antique piece dates to the latter half of the 19th century, likely circa 1880. The cameo is very nicely carved with a lot of detail and it is in excellent condition! This piece is truly lovely and would make a nice addition to a collection of antique jewelry.
The brooch tests at least 10k solid gold. The pin clasp on the back has been replaced at some point and there is minor damage to the black enamel. It measures 3.2 cm x 3.7 cm.
